We have taken extensive actions
to ensure that guests and our staff are protected from COVID-19.
Some of these actions will affect the minimum duration of bookings
which we can accept and we will be charging a slightly higher
cleaning rate to offset the costs of the cleaning and disinfecting
regimes which we are operating during and between
bookings.
Our primary objective is to
ensure the safety of guests and staff. In this and all other
matters we can assure guests that 'We're Good to Go' and that our
promise is to provide safe holiday accommodation in the centre of
Port Ellen village.
Islay65 is a Visit Scotland 4 star rated traditional stone built cottage dating from the early 1880's situated on Loch Leodamais in the centre of Port Ellen village on the Island of Islay. Sympathetically extended and modernised.
A fully equipped modern kitchen, 3 bedrooms (2 double and 1 twin) sleeping up to 6, a Graco cot for the baby, an open plan lounge area with log burning stove and dining area with table seating for up to 6 and high chair, Freesat TV & digital entertainmemt systems, unlimited high speed wifi and thermostat controlled oil fired central heating throughout.
The Port Ellen village hotels, pubs, restaurants, shops and the Calmac ferry terminal are all within minutes walking distance of Islay65.
Port Ellen, Laphroaig, Lagavullin and Ardbeg single malt whisky distilleries are all within easy walking distance of the front door.
Flexible arrangements from 2
to 7 nights at all times of the year. Your chosen arrangement
can be booked and paid for on line below. You can also contact us
by email and phone.
We are happy to accommodate pet dogs, by prior arrangement. Please enquire prior to making your reservation. A no smoking policy is applicable throughout the house and garden.
We have taken necessary
steps to ensure that we do not comprimise protection from COVID-19
for guests and the people in the Islands of Islay & Jura. In this
respect we have been accredited with the Industry Standard 'We're
Good to Go' awarded by The National Tourist Organisations of Great
Britain and Northern ireland. Please see
We're Good to
Go.
As part of our strategy to
protect our guests and employees from COVID-19 we are only able to
accept bookings from family groups and/or people who occupy a
maximum of two households. We do not at this time accept bookings
from guests who occcupy more than two
households.
Our COVID-19 protocols require
that we disinfect the cottage between groups of guests departing
and arriving. To protect our staff we now expect guests
on their day of departure to strip the
beds they have used and to leave the bed sheets, pillow & duvet
covers and all towels in the zipped storage bags
provided.
We are currently operating a 2
day closeout before and after each reservation. We are not passing
this 'extra charge' directly onto guests but regret that we are
only able to accept bookings of 3 or 2 nights where these slot
naturally into gaps between already made bookings.
Prior to booking we ask guests,
especially in view of our COVID-19 protocols, to read our
terms & conditions. It is a condition of booking that guests have
read the terms & conditions and agree to them.
